Christ in All of Life

“‘Spiritualizing’ everything denies the incarnation. It says God is only concerned with our ‘spiritual’ lives, that he considers ‘worldly’ things a distraction from our ‘Christian walk.’ If, however, the Christian walk is going to have anything to do with Christ, it is going to require a vision of life which comprehends the totality of human experience. In this doctrine, we see God eating, drinking, conducting business, resting, socializing with us, comforting us, telling us about the Father and his plan of redemption, and giving us a vision for his kingdom that embraces so much more than a narrow strip of life we call ‘spiritual'” Michael Horton, Putting Amazing Back Into Grace, 102.

In other words, as another fellow says, “All of Christ for all of life.”
