So, Christian, Now What?

Well, here is a little list:

Give thanks to God. We should not have wanted a man like Trump to be president but we should also not have wanted a woman like Hillary even more. So, give thanks that it is not as bad as it could have been, but be humble enough to admit that it is still pretty bad.

Pray for our new president not to be a windbag, but a man who seeks justice.

Pray for President Trump to have nightmares sent from God to convert him to the fear of the Lord, like He did with Pharaoh.

Pray for a Joseph, a Mordecai, or a Daniel to rise up and be a wise counselor to our new president.

Nay. Pray for a troupe of Josephs, Mordecais, and Daniels.

Pray for the end of abortion. Republicans have the Senate, the House, the courts, and the presidency. There are no more excuses, Christians should call this party to be consistent and get to action. End the murder of children. And I should add that if the Republicans fail to do this now, Christians should never vote for another Republican.

And while we are at it: pray for the repeal of Obergefell and Obamacare and a smaller limited government.

Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church.

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.

Children, obey your parents.

Take every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus.

Whatever work is set before by the King, do it heartily for Him.

What are Christians to do now? Be Christians. Don’t be Republicans, don’t be a Democrat. Be a Christian. Every member of every political party needs to repent and believe the Gospel, show them how. Jesus died, rose again three days later, and ascended to the throne at the right hand of the Father and reigns over all. This is our message and it should not change, but grow ever louder.
